This is an action by the Superintendent of Insurance as liquidator of the General Surety Company to recover *524from its directors damages claimed to have been sustained by reason of alleged illegal investments and loans of the funds of the company. On the trial the plaintiff offered proof of four transactions urged to have been in contravention of statute.
