BIERY, District Judge.

This ease presents an opportunity to review recent developments in Texas law concerning the relationship between contractual insurance causes of action and noncontractual insurance causes of action, such as the common law duty of good faith and fair dealing (often referred to as bad faith cases), and statutory causes of action under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act and the Insurance Code.
