Introduction

Presently before the court are plaintiffs’ motions for class certification in the above-captioned products liability cases. In both cases, plaintiffs’ causes of action stem from an allegedly defective ignition switch found in approximately 23 million vehicles that were manufactured and distributed by defendant Ford Motor Company (“Ford”) between the model years 1984 to 1993.
