This is a compensation case. The appellee, O. Guidry, a steel erector's helper, was the injured employee; the Texas Company was the employer; and the appellant was the compensation insurance carrier.

The facts are undisputed and, so far as necessary to be stated here, are: On February 8, 1926, Guidry, while engaged in erecting some steel work, was knocked from a beam and fell to the ground, a distance of about fourteen feet, severely injuring his back.
