A bench trial was held in this personal injury action on March 10 and 11, 1986. During the first day of trial, defendant, Dairyland Insurance Company, plaintiff's UM insurer, tendered its check for $12,-035.07 and it was placed in the Registry of the Court; Dairyland rested its case immediately after plaintiff rested. At the conclusion of the trial on March 11, 1986, the trial judge rendered judgment in favor of plaintiff and against Great Plains Insurance Company, UM insurer of the Terre-bonne Parish Police Jury and its employees, Dairyland, Teri Theriot’s liability…
