This appeal is from a judgment rendered in an action brought in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against Lone Star Steel Company (Lone Star) and Texas & Northern Railway Company (T & N) by Lois McGee to recover damages for personal injuries under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act, 45 U.S.C. §§ 51-60, and the Safety Appliance Act, 45 U.S.C. §§ 1-16.
