The action in the trial court was for money damages allegedly arising from the legal malpractice of defendant, a practicing attorney. According to the allegations of the complaint, the defendant was retained by the four named plaintiffs to prepare a limited partnership agreement wherein they, the plaintiffs, would be cast as the limited partners.
