Cynthia S. was a mental health patient. Her psychiatrist filed a petition pursuant to the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code (Mental Health Code or Code) seeking a court order authorizing the involuntary administration of nonemergency psychotropic medication. 405 ILCS 5/2 — 107.1 (West 2000).
