This action was originally brought before a justice of the peace, by appellees, stock dealers at Charleston, Illinois, against the appellant company for the recovery of damages alleged to have been occasioned by unreasonable delay on the part of appellant in transporting’ from Charleston to Indianapolis, four carloads of hogs consigned to live stock brokers for sale upon the open market. A trial in the Circuit Court on appeal from the justice of the peace, resulted in judgment in favor of appellee for $100.
