Following a July 29, 1988 Huntley hearing held in the referenced matter, the court is asked to decide the trial admissibility of certain statements and admissions concededly made by the defendant on December 23, 1985.
The current test — approved at both State and Federal levels —which is to be applied by suppression courts in making such determinations concerning the use by the government of evidence obtained from the words of a citizen-suspect is one of the "totality of circumstances”.
