This action of ejectment was brought by the heirs of Caroline Gregory, as lessors, to recover part of a tract of 1,300 acres of land, patented to George Muse, and by him devised to his two daughters, Kitty and Caroline. The land in contest had been conveyed, in 1808 and 1815, by deeds purporting to be the deeds of William Gregory and Caroline his wife, in right of the latter as a devisee of said George Muse.
