Appeal by the defendant, Margaret Brown, from that part of an order of the Supreme Court, made at the New York Special Term and- entered in the office of the clerk of the county of New York on the 11th day of August, 1920, granting plaintiff’s motion for judgment on the pleadings as to the second cause of action, which pleadings consisted of an amended complaint and the demurrer thereto, and overruling the defendant’s demurrer to the second cause of action.

In the second cause of action plaintiff complains of the defendant for having falsely uttered in the hearing of third parties of and concerning the plaintiff, “ Madame Villemin (meaning thereby the plaintiff) is a crook.” This cause of action further alleges that such words imputed dishonesty and *778moral turpitude to the plaintiff which would subject her, if guilty, to imprisonment for the crimes of. obtaining money under false pretenses, theft and immorality, and that the third party' in whose presence the words were uttered understood the said words so spoken of plaintiff by the…
