CRAWFORD, Judge:

On January 22-25 and February 25, 1991,1 appellant was convicted by a general court-martial of willfully disobeying an order of a superior commissioned officer to deploy to the Persian Gulf as part of Operation Desert Shield, in violation of Article 90, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 890. Appellant was sentenced by members to a dishonorable discharge, 2 years’ confinement, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade.
