After a jury trial, defendant, Earl Echols, was found guilty of the crime of indecent liberties with a child (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 38, par. 11 — 4(a)(3)), sentenced to five years’ imprisonment in the Department of Corrections and fined $2,000 plus court costs.
