Defendant, Edward Shriner, was indicted in the circuit court of Du Page County on two counts of home invasion (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 12—11), two counts of armed robbery (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 18—2(a)), two counts of unlawful restraint (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 10—3(a)), four counts of armed violence (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 33A—2), and two counts of residential burglary (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 19—3(a)).
