HUNTER, Justice.

The defendant, Anthony Anderson, was convicted by a jury of voluntary manslaughter, a Class B felony, Ind.Code § 35-42-1-3 (Burns 1979 Repl.) and was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Correction for a period of twelve years. His direct appeal raises the following five issues:

1. Whether there was sufficient evidence to withstand defendant's motion for directed verdict and to support the verdict of the jury;

2. Whether the trial court erred in admitting certain exhibits into evidence;
