GRANT, Judge:

In trial before a special court-martial consisting of a military judge alone, the appellant was found guilty, pursuant to his pleas, of wrongful use of marijuana on two occasions in violation of Article 112a, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 912a (1994)[hereinafter UCMJ]. He was sentenced to confinement for 120 days, forfeiture of $569.00 pay per month for 3 months, reduction to E-l, and a bad-conduct discharge.
