These actions stem from a tragic head-on collision between two automobiles on a highway near Randolph, Kansas, which snuifed out six lives. The three plaintiffs, Mrs. Dorothy M. Akin, Linda A. Akin and Kathleen Strauss, were riding in the rear seat of a car driven by the decedent, Gladys Hill, and have sued her estate for damages resulting from personal injuries, contending that Mrs. Hill was guilty of gross and wanton negligence within the purview of the guest statute, K.
