This was an action in trover, brought by T. H. Williams against H. E. Edwards in the Civil Court of Fulton County, seeking to recover a diamond ring and a wrist watch, or the value thereof. Edwards answered and admitted that he was a resident of Fulton County and subject to the jurisdiction of the court, and denied all other allegations of the petition. For further plea and answer he alleged that as an accommodation to Williams he had placed the ring and watch in his safe at his grocery store, and that the store had been burglarized and the safe opened and the ring and watch removed thereform…
