11 Defendant, Don Hayes, appeals his conviction of possession with the intent to distribute heroin. For the reasons that follow, we affirm his conviction and sentence.

PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND

Defendant was charged with, and pled not guilty to, one count of possession with the intent to distribute heroin, a violation of La. R.S. 40:966(A)(1). The trial court denied defendant’s motion to suppress and the matter proceeded to a jury trial from February 14-16, 2011. The jury found defendant guilty as charged.
