This is a suit to recover benefits under the workmen’s compensation law. The main question presented is the method to be employed in determining the employee’s wage for the purpose of fixing the amount of compensation.

The plaintiff was injured on June 23, 1937, while employed as a drag-line operator by the defendant who was engaged in carrying out a construction contract on the hydroelectric project of the Loup River Public Power District.
