This is not a case about the defendants’ morality, nor is this a case about the plaintiffs’ sophistication, nor is it a case about common-law notions of obligation. This is a case about whether federal or Wisconsin law governs the rent-to-own contracts used by Thom America, Inc. (“Rent-a-Center”) and, if the Wisconsin Consumer Act (“WCA”), Wis.
