This action involves a suit by plaintiffs, David Victor, Betty Victor, Richard Victor and Deborah Victor, in their capacity as named beneficiaries of Morris Victor in a group life insurance policy issued by defendant Manhattan Life Insurance Company. Morris Victor died on September 23, 1981. Plaintiffs filed a claim for benefits in September, 1983, and promptly received the face amount of the policy. They ultimately sued for loss of use of proceeds occasioned by an eighteen month delay in payment, interest thereon and vexatious delay damages under § 375.420 RSMo 1978. The policy…
