Jesse T. Baxter, Sr., died intestate in Franklin county, Illinois, on December 16, 1903, holding the legal title to 933 acres of land, all of which was in Franklin county except one 40-acre tract, which was located just across the line of Franklin county, in Jefferson county. He left surviving him a widow, Parlee Baxter, two sons, Luke Baxter and Jesse T. Baxter, Jr., and three grandchildren, Guy Williams, Pearl Williams and Harry Williams, his only heirs-at-law.
