Jose A. Barreiro Lopez (“Barreiro”) and Doris I. Palacios Rivas (collectively “Plaintiffs”) commenced this action seeking compensatory damages against Universal Insurance Company (“Defendant”) under Article 1802 of the Puerto Rico Civil Code (“Article 1802”), P.R. Laws Ann. tit. 31, § 5141. (Docket No. 1.)
