OPINION

TERRY JENNINGS, Justice.

Appellant, Carlos Moreland, filed an inmate civil action for violation of his constitutional rights, seeking money damages, a declaratory judgment, and punitive and in-junctive relief against numerous defendants employed by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. In his sole point of error, appellant contends the trial court erred in dismissing his petition and abused its discretion in failing to grant him a hearing and leave to amend his original petition. We affirm.
