O’QUINN, Justice.
This lawsuit was filed to recover for damages to seven acres of land in the Keys Valley area in Bell County caused by cedar choppers who cut and carried away about 900 choice cedar trees growing on the property.
The landowners were awarded judgment, based on favorable findings of a jury, in the amount of $3,500, being the difference the jury found between the market value of the land before and after the trees were cut down.
The defendants below were not the cedar choppers, but were two landowners whose property abutted the seven acres who, the jury found, negligently allowed…
