ARNOLD, Circuit Judge.
The plaintiff, an inmate in the Missouri State Penitentiary (MSP), filed this action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, charging that the defendant prison officials violated his First Amendment and due-process rights because they confiscated and destroyed a transcript of an interview about the Black Panther Party which belonged to him. The District Court 1 dismissed plaintiff’s claim for damages.
