MILLER, Judge.

This appeal is from the district court’s dismissal of a petition for a writ of habeas corpus, the petition being grounded on Hall’s contention that “his constitutional right to avoid self-incrimination was violated when the [police] officer deliberately employed psychological coercion to secure a confession from him.” On the basis of the confession, which he unsuccessfully sought to suppress (for other reasons), Hall was convicted of armed robbery in a bench trial in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois.
