This appeal by the City of Chicago brings before us three suits, consolidated in the trial court, against Hertz Commercial Leasing Corporation, Avis Rent-A-Car Systems, Inc., and Chrysler Leasing Corporation (defendants). The City sought to recover payment of fines for alleged parking ordinance violations by cars owned by defendants.
