Appellee recovered a judgment against appellant in an action on the case for the alleged negligent or wrongful killing of Mrs. Ellen O’Neil, and the Appellate Court has affirmed that judgment.

Mrs. O’Neil was employed in labeling cans at the packing house of Nelson Morris & Co., at the stock yards in Chicago, and on quitting work for the day, about 5:45 o’clock, January 19, 1892, left that place for her home, it being then dark.
