This suit was instituted by the appellant against the appellee, in the Circuit Court for Harford County, but was subsequently removed to the Superior Court of Baltimore City, where it was tried.

The action is one of deceit, to recover damages alleged to have been sustained by the plaintiff by reason of alleged false and fraudulent representations made to him by the defendant, by which he was induced to purchase twenty shares of the capital stock of the DeRan Lumber Company, a corporation doing business in the State of West Virginia, at and for the sum of $185 per share, it having a par value…
