In this appeal involving an action for intentional infliction of emotional distress and a related civil conspiracy claim, we consider whether the circuit court erred in sustaining the defendants' demurrers. As part of our consideration, we decide the issue of first impression whether a civil claim for conspiracy *184to intentionally inflict emotional distress will be recognized as a cause of action in this Commonwealth.
