FAY, Circuit Judge:

Appellant, Peter Kreimes, appeals his conviction, following jury verdicts of guilty, on charges of conspiracy to possess and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1), 846 and 18 U.S.C. § 2 (1976). Finding that the arresting officer had reasonable grounds for stopping the appellant and that exigent circumstances justified the warrantless search of appellant’s luggage, we affirm the trial court’s denial of appellant’s motion to suppress all evidence so obtained.
