The judgment 'sought to be opened by virtue of the provisions of §77 of the code, was rendered on the 17th day of October, 1881. It was rendered on no other service than by a notice of publication in a newspaper. The three years within which proceedings to vacate are limited, expired on the 17th day of October, 1884.
