I. INTRODUCTION AND PROCEDURAL HISTORY

Plaintiff, Douglas McCray (“McCray”), initiated a lawsuit against the City of Do-than, Alabama (“the City”) and various police officers, including Adrianne Wood-ruff (‘Woodruff’), Jeffrey Howell (“Howell”), Tim Ward (“Ward”), Greg Carpenter (“Carpenter”), David Carmichael (“Carmichael”), and Stacy Robinson (“Robinson”) 1 arising out of events which occurred during and after an altercation with police in a Dothan restaurant.
