DICKSON, Justice.

On May 19, 1981, the trial court accepted petitioner Emmett Merriweather's plea of guilty to robbery, a class B felony, pursuant to a written plea agreement whereby the State recommended a fifteen (15) year sentence for robbery and agreed to forego prosecution for murder. In his post-convietion proceeding, the petitioner sought to vacate the plea of guilty because of alleged failures of the trial court's guilty plea ad-visements regarding the following:

(A) that the court was not a party to and not bound by the plea agreement;
