LYDON, Senior Judge:

This vaccine case comes before the court on the basis of the Report And Recommendation Of Judgment of a Special Master, *829filed October 10, 1989, pursuant to § 300aa-12(c)(2)(E) of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, 42 U.S.C. §§ 300aa-l, et seq., as amended, (Supp. V 1987) (Vaccine Act). The Special Master found that the death of Stephen J. Pusa-teri, II was the result of the administration of a diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus (DPT) inoculation administered on March 7, 1984.
