after stating the case: The first question raised by the defendant is that the affidavit upon which the order of publication is based is defective, as no cause of action is sufficiently set out therein, and the defendant’s counsel, in support of this position, relies on Bacon v. Johnson, 110 N. C., 114, and Mullen v. Canal Co., 114 N. C., 8; Code, sec. 218 (Revisal, sec. 442). The specific grounds of objection are: 1.
