STATE OF CONNECTICUT v. JEFFREY K. WARD (SC 20427) Robinson, C. J., and McDonald, D’Auria, Kahn, Ecker and Keller, Js. Syllabus The defendant, who had been convicted, on a plea of guilty, of manslaughter in the first degree and assault in the first degree, appealed from the trial court’s dismissal of his motion to correct a sentence that was imposed in an illegal manner.
