MOORE, Judge.

The Alabama Department of Industrial Relations (“the Department”) appeals from a judgment of the Jefferson Circuit Court awarding Anthony Williams unemployment-compensation benefits. We reverse.

On July 17, 2011, Williams filed a claim for unemployment-compensation -benefits with the Department; that claim was denied. Williams appealed that decision, and, following an ore tenus hearing, the Department’s administrative hearing officer issued a decision concluding that Williams was not entitled to receive unemployment-compensation benefits.
