OPINION

RABINO WITZ, Justice.

In this appeal appellants raise several important questions of first impression relating to preliminary hearings and grand jury proceedings. We affirm the judgments and commitments which were entered by the superior court.

On June 14 and 15, 1965, complaints were filed in the district court 1 at Anchorage, Alaska, charging appellants with the crime of robbery. 2 On the basis of these complaints, warrants for appellants’ arrests were issued by the district judge.
