The plaintiff, a manufacturer of magnets, brought this suit to have the Court declare invalid certain important magnet patents granted to the defendant. The defendant counterclaimed for a declaratory judgment and an injunction to prohibit infringement of its patents. The Court on July 28, 1989 heard oral argument on the defendant/counterclaimant’s motion for a preliminary injunction.
