| T Granted. The decision of the court of appeal is reversed and the district court’s judgment of forfeiture is reinstated.

Following a traffic stop during which the police recovered a plastic bag containing crack cocaine from the fuse box area of respondent’s 2002 Chevrolet Trail Blazer, the state initiated both criminal proceedings for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, La.R.S. 40:967(A)(1), and in rem civil forfeiture proceedings against his vehicle seized pursuant to La.R.S. 40:2606.
