of the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia, who sat with the Court in the hearing and determination of the appeal in place of Mr. Chief Justice Shepard, delivered the opinion of the court :

This is a bill in equity brought by a legatee against Harriet *560D. Dodge and Samuel J. Bradford, executors acting as trustees under a will, for an accounting; and especially to have them ordered to pay interest or income on the amount of the legacy during the year immediately following the death of the testator.
