This is an eminent domain case wherein the Arkansas Power & Light Company took an easement in a strip of land 180 feet wide and one and one-fourth mile long, consisting of 27.65 acres across a 636 acre tract of land belonging to Dr. John W. Harper and his wife near El Dorado in Union County. The land was purchased in smaller tracts by Dr. Harper for investment purposes but was being utilized by him for timber and grazing land at the time of the taking.
