In this insurance dispute, the plaintiff, Ernest L. Cotton, Esquire, as guardian ad litem for Han-Sun Boynton, originally brought a state court action seeking to recover benefits under a Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance policy. The defendant removed this action to federal court based on diversity jurisdiction [28 U.S.C. § 1332] and federal question jurisdiction [28 U.S.C. § 1331].
