Plaintiff is the personal representative of the estate of Virginia Bessett (Bessett). He brought this action against defendant based on multiple promissory notes that were executed by defendant in favor of Bessett. The notes represented money that Bessett loaned to defendant during her lifetime. The parties entered into a stipulated facts trial. Defendant agrees that he is liable on the notes unless he prevails on his affirmative defenses.
