The lands in question were odd sections lying within the twenty-mile limit of the grant of lands made to the Central Pacific Railroad Company to aid in the construction of its road, ahd^ situated partly in township three south, range three *669east, Mount Diablo base and meridian, and partly in township two south, range one east.
