{¶ 1} Defendant-appellant, Anthony Lett, appeals his convictions and sentence. Finding some merit to the appeal, we reverse the judgment in part and remand the cause for a new trial.

{¶ 2} In 2003, Lett was charged with kidnapping, felonious assault, attempted aggravated murder, grand theft, aggravated robbery, and arson, all of which contained firearm specifications. Lett was also charged with one count of having a weapon while under a disability. All charges were tried to a jury except the weapon-under-disability charge, which was tried to the bench. The…
